PowerPack Rack Upgrade Kit

Convert your compatible American Adventure Lab M.A.S.S. Cargo Shelf to the power-ready mounting system used by the PowerPack Rack.

If you already own our Jeep Wrangler JLU or Ford Bronco 4-door M.A.S.S. Cargo Shelf, this upgrade kit gives you the core shelf pieces needed to move into the PowerPack Rack layout without replacing your existing vehicle mounting brackets.

The PowerPack Rack layout combines raised cargo shelf utility with dedicated mounting provisions for KC HiLiTES 105Ah or 150Ah flat lithium batteries and the REDARC BCDC Alpha 50. It is still a cargo shelf first, but it becomes a much cleaner foundation for a modern auxiliary power build.

Important: Batteries, wiring, switching, chargers, solar hardware, outlets, and electrical accessories are sold separately unless specifically selected as a product option.

This kit is for customers who already have a compatible American Adventure Lab M.A.S.S. Cargo Shelf installed on a Jeep Wrangler JLU 4-door or Ford Bronco 4-door.

Reuse your existing vehicle mounting brackets.
Replace the standard shelf panels with PowerPack Rack main panels.

The replacement main panels provide the PowerPack Rack shelf layout shared by the Jeep Wrangler JLU and Ford Bronco 4-door versions.

The kit includes battery mounting brackets matched to your selected KC HiLiTES flat battery size: 105Ah or 150Ah.

The upgraded layout is designed around KC flat lithium battery mounting and REDARC BCDC Alpha 50 mounting provisions.

Keep your vehicle-specific mounting brackets.

The upgrade kit is intended for existing American Adventure Lab M.A.S.S. Cargo Shelf owners. Your current vehicle-specific mounting brackets remain the foundation for the install, while the standard shelf panels are replaced with the PowerPack Rack panels and battery bracket system.

Because the Jeep Wrangler JLU and Ford Bronco 4-door shelves share the same main panels, this single upgrade kit applies to both vehicle platforms.

Installation Note

Do not reuse the steel stiffening braces.

The traditional M.A.S.S. Cargo Shelf uses steel stiffening braces on the underside of the shelf. Those braces are not reused with this upgrade kit.

The rigidity of the PowerPack Rack layout is enhanced by the battery mounting brackets and the battery itself, so the original underside stiffening braces are not needed in the upgraded configuration.

Power Component Mounting

Designed for the components serious trail builds already use.

The PowerPack Rack layout is built around KC HiLiTES flat lithium batteries in 105Ah and 150Ah sizes. These batteries tuck into the shelf structure instead of taking over the main cargo floor.

The shelf also includes mounting provisions for the REDARC BCDC Alpha 50, giving installers and DIY builders a cleaner starting point for DC charging without fabricating a one-off mounting solution.
