The Short Version

Our Privacy Principles

You Share It Directly

We collect information through purchases, accounts, forms, email, and other direct interactions with AAL.

We Do Not Sell It

We do not sell or rent personal information. We use trusted service providers to run and improve the business.

Advertising Uses First-Party Data

Customer Match uses securely hashed contact identifiers from direct AAL relationships, not purchased or scraped lists.

You Have Choices

You can unsubscribe, request applicable advertising opt-outs, or contact us about access, correction, and deletion.

Information Practices

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We collect information that you voluntarily provide through our website, store, newsletter forms, account registration, purchases, quote or information requests, public-album forms, email, or other direct interactions with us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping details, purchase history, preferences, and information about how you interact with our website and communications.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We use it to provide products and services, process and fulfill orders, communicate with you, provide support, improve our website and offerings, prevent fraud, measure business and advertising performance, and market American Adventure Lab products and services.

We may share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, shipping, website hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising, audience matching, and fraud prevention. These providers may use the information only as permitted by their agreements with us and applicable law.

First-Party Advertising

Marketing, Advertising, and Google Customer Match

When you purchase from American Adventure Lab, voluntarily sign up for marketing, create an account, or otherwise share information directly with us, we may use that first-party information to communicate with you and to create or improve advertising audiences, subject to your choices and applicable law.

How Customer Match Works: We normalize and cryptographically hash contact identifiers, such as an email address, before securely transmitting them to Google. Google compares the hashed information with hashed identifiers associated with Google accounts to identify matches.

We use Google Ads Customer Match and may use similar services from other advertising providers. The resulting audience may be used to show relevant American Adventure Lab advertising to existing customers, measure or optimize advertising, exclude existing customers from selected campaigns, and help advertising systems improve bidding or audience selection.

Google may use Customer Match lists as signals for Smart Bidding or optimized targeting depending on our Google Ads account and campaign settings. Uploading information to an audience does not by itself launch an advertisement. We control how available audiences are applied to our campaigns.

We upload only first-party information obtained through direct interactions with American Adventure Lab. We do not knowingly upload purchased, rented, or scraped contact lists. We exclude records that are suppressed, non-marketable, or associated with a known applicable opt-out.

Google processes Customer Match information under its applicable terms and policies. Learn more through Google’s Customer Match information and manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center.

Where consent is required by law or Google policy, we will request it before using personal information for personalized advertising. You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in any marketing message and may contact us to request that we stop using your information for applicable audience-based advertising.
