Sparky is our 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE overland build, a showcase of what’s possible when you push the boundaries of modern adventure vehicle technology. This build answers the question: what happens when you throw every cutting-edge innovation at one rig? Running 74Weld portals with 38″ Nitto Trail Grapplers on Raceline Forged Ryno beadlocks, this electrified beast combines the 4XE’s instant electric torque with serious lift and capability. The hybrid system delivers whisper-quiet power at camp while the REDARC and LiTime auxiliary setup manages everything from lighting to creature comforts. Diode Dynamics SS5 and SSC2 lighting turns night into day, and Starlink keeps us connected from the most remote corners of the map. Is it overkill? Maybe. But Sparky proves that when you combine plug-in hybrid efficiency, portal axles, satellite internet, and smart power management into one package, you get a glimpse of where adventure vehicles are headed, whether we’re ready or not.
