Built Around the Larger Jack
The 3-ton BADLAND needs its own mount. This version uses a dedicated base and retainer components designed around the larger jack, with separate front and rear brackets for handle storage.
Keeping the mount specific to the jack makes the fitment choice straightforward: match the mount to the capacity and model of the BADLAND off-road jack you carry.

Jack Retention and Handle Storage
The assembly brings together the main base, jack-retainer tabs, a lock-pin assembly, and an Allen-release tab. Front and rear handle brackets provide a dedicated location for the jack handle.
Store both handle sections beneath the jack in the front and rear brackets. The lock-pin assembly secures the jack retainers, while the separate Allen-release tab supports the jack’s tool-retention arrangement. Keep access to these points clear when planning your installation.
Why We Use 3/16-Inch 5052 Aluminum
The main cradle starts as 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) 5052 aluminum. We form the sides to cradle the jack and give the base its shape, while the separate retainers and brackets keep the jack and both handle sections together.
- Less weight to carry. The BADLAND 3-ton off-road jack (item 59136) weighs 72.2 lb on its own, according to Harbor Freight. That is already a lot of weight to carry in your rig. We form the main cradle from 3/16-inch 5052 aluminum to limit how much the mount adds. Aluminum weighs less than steel for the same volume.
- Corrosion resistance in both finishes. 5052 aluminum forms a protective oxide layer and does not develop the red rust you see on steel. That benefit applies to the aluminum cradle even in the Raw/Unfinished version.
- Formed for the job. 5052 forms cleanly into the bends that give the cradle its shape. Those bends add rigidity and create the sides that locate the jack.
- Two finish options. Choose Raw/Unfinished for exposed aluminum or Textured Black for a powder-coated finish that matches the rest of your setup.
Add an Optional Padlock for Theft Deterrence
The mount accepts an optional padlock at the retaining-pin assembly to help deter removal of the jack. Lock the retaining hardware after seating the jack, then unlock it when you need access.
