Jeep Wrangler JL / JLU Tailgate Workspace
The VersaTable turns the inside of your Jeep Wrangler JL or JLU tailgate into a solid, full-width work surface for camp cooking, trail repairs, gear prep, and the small jobs that are easier when your tools are off the ground. It opens with one hand, needs no support cables, and keeps an LED area light, MOLLE storage, a bottle opener, and a trash-bag hook in one tailgate-mounted system.
A useful prep area that folds down when you need it and closes to 1.5 inches thick with the MOLLE panel.
The table deploys without the side cables that can get in the way of knees, gear, and the edge of your workspace.

One Tailgate, More Useful Space
A tailgate table should do more than hold lunch. We built the VersaTable as a compact work station with features that stay useful after camp is packed: an automotive-style quick latch for one-handed opening and closing, an integrated area light for after-dark work, and a rear panel that adds MOLLE organization without giving up the table surface.

Choose Your Table Surface
Each insert is cut on our CNC router. Pick the surface that makes sense for how you use the tailgate.
Poplar
A traditional wood surface finished with gray stain and sealed with polyurethane. Natural grain means the final shade will vary slightly from table to table.
Bamboo
A harder composite bamboo surface with a cutting-board look and feel, sealed with butcher-block oil.
Stainless Steel
A metal work-surface option for customers who prefer stainless over wood or bamboo.
Configure the Panel for Your Electrical System
The VersaTable can be ordered with no added cutouts or with panel cutouts for an LCD battery monitor, three Contura switches, a REDARC RedVision color display, or supported combinations. The Contura positions can be used for compatible switches, USB charging ports, lighting controls, or other equipment in your build.
Cutout note: The small upper and lower tabs shown in some older Contura-cutout photos are no longer part of the table. Optional cutouts prepare the panel for the selected device layout; connected displays, switches, and accessories are separate unless the selected option specifically says otherwise.

Finish and Custom Color Notes
Standard finish choices are available in the product configurator. For a different powder color, choose the corresponding option and put the requested color in the Additional Notes field at checkout. Components that can be finished separately include the main backplate, tray edge, MOLLE panel, and, when no additional cutouts are selected, the bottle opener.
Powder-coat timing: Coated parts are finished for your order. Non-standard colors, powder availability, and any needed rework can add time. Color matching from powder is approximate; an exact automotive paint match requires a local paint or body shop. See our powder-coat information for details.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the VersaTable fit both Jeep JL and JLU models?
Yes. This version is configured for the Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU tailgate. Jeep JK owners should use the Jeep Wrangler JK VersaTable.
Does the table use support cables?
No. The VersaTable opens without cable supports, leaving the sides of the work surface clear.
What lighting options are available?
Choose a single-color white LED or a dimmable white / amber / red LED when configuring the table.
Can I add switches or a battery display?
Yes. Select the matching optional cutout for the LCD battery monitor, Contura switches, REDARC RedVision display, or an available combination before adding the table to your cart.
When I order the “Other Color” finish, which pieces receive that color?
Unless you request otherwise, we typically coat the MOLLE panel and bottle opener in the selected color and finish the remaining pieces in textured black. If you want the entire VersaTable coated in the selected color, contact us so we can adjust the order and invoice the added cost. Powder coat is not the same process as automotive paint, so an exact color match should not be expected.
How much does the VersaTable weigh?
The VersaTable weighs 31 lb.
Which table surface should I choose?
Choose poplar for a stained wood look, bamboo for a harder cutting-board-style surface, or stainless steel when you want a metal work surface.
How is the LED light powered?
The light requires a customer-supplied power connection. For professional installations, we typically connect it to the 12V outlet in the cargo area, but we cannot provide wiring advice for liability reasons. Some customers add a barrel plug to the light harness and power it from a portable power bank or power station.
Can the VersaTable be modified to clear the Mopar/392 tailgate compressor?
We do not currently offer a VersaTable modified to clear the Mopar/392 tailgate compressor. Many customers replace the factory compressor with a higher-output unit.
