Ford Ranger Vertical Spare Tire Mount
Carry Your Spare Upright. Plan the Bed Around It.
The Ford Ranger Vertical Spare Tire Mount (VSTM) gives your spare a dedicated position in the bed. Its formed cradle, side walls, tire braces, and included strap system hold the tire upright while you configure the rest of your BASE setup around it.
5052 Aluminum With Steel Pressure Braces
The VSTM uses 5052 aluminum for its fabricated mount components, with steel pressure braces where they bear against the tire. The pressure braces are the darker gray pieces in the CAD renderings; the other fabricated mount components are aluminum.
At approximately 25 lb, the mount combines a lightweight aluminum structure with steel pressure braces to give your spare a dedicated place in the bed.

Made in the USA. Built in St. George, Utah.
We make the VSTM’s fabricated mount components right here in our St. George, Utah shop. From the cradle to the vehicle-specific mounting brackets, these are American-made parts built in our own shop. Purchased straps, webbing, and hardware are sourced separately.

A Bolt-In Setup You Can Change
BASE attaches at the truck’s factory mounting locations without drilling. The VSTM mounts to that foundation, so you can remove the accessory setup when you need the bed for other jobs. Check your tire’s actual dimensions and clearance to tonneau covers, racks, bedliners, and other accessories before ordering.

The base supports the tire while the side walls and braces form the upright structure. The ratchet strap and webbing complete the retention system. The open cradle leaves the mounting structure visible and keeps the retention components accessible.

Leave Room for the Rest of Your Gear
Position your spare as part of a larger BASE layout. This installation pairs one VSTM with a bed slide, keeping the spare upright beside the cargo area. Confirm clearances for your own tire and accessories.

Building a Dual-Spare Layout?
Each VSTM kit carries one spare. A two-spare arrangement uses two mounts and the appropriate BASE layout; it is not a two-mount kit.

What Comes in the Kit

Chase Light Tabs: a Mounting Point for Rear-Facing Chase Lights
The With Chase Light Tabs option includes a base strap separator with an integrated chase light tab. That tab gives you a mounting point for a rear-facing chase light, as shown in the installation photos.
No Chase Light Tabs uses the same strap separator without the chase light tab. Both options include the same ratchet strap, webbing, and mount assembly hardware. Chase lights and wiring are sold separately.
Both versions retain the lower mounting tongue. CAD colors are for illustration and do not represent your selected finish. Chase light not included.

The tab extends from the strap separator to support the rear-facing light. The amber light shown is an optional accessory, not part of the VSTM kit.
