Flat Slide – 6×4

If you’re looking to maximize the flexibility of your refrigerator mounting solution or are looking to add extra table space on top of our MASS drawers, our Flat Slides may be just what you’re looking for. The key differentiator for this line of slides is that we lay the slides on their side, allowing for a completely flat mounting surface above the slides. In terms of mounting a refrigerator, this allows the fridge to spill over the edges of the slides, opening up your cargo space to a much broader selection of refrigerators.

In the cargo management world, everything is a tradeoff. So here’s the tradeoff with the flat slide – with the slides mounted in their “flat” orientation, the load rating is reduced to 250#, down from 500# when mounted vertically.

With the flexibility of the MASS system, you can mount this in any of the matching holes, not just on the far sides of the vehicle. This 6×4 version uses 28″ locking slides. They slide a full 28″. These slides lock in the “in” position as well as in the “out” position.

Powder coating is a manual process done by humans and may take some time. When you purchase powder coated products from AAL, we coat them for your order. Occasionally, that means delays with non-standard colors, resprays for less-than-perfect conditions, etc. We have a very high standard with powder coated products. We will work to get your parts coated in the best condition possible before they leave the building.

Fridge Fitment

We have tested the Flat Slide – 6×4 with a few different refrigerators. In the shop 392 JLU, it fits all the way up to a Dometic CFX3 55IM with the seats up. (NOTE: It’s a very tight fit with about an 1/8″ to spare) Your fridge can be strapped to the top of the Flat Slide – 6×4 using L-Track rings and ratchet straps or most refrigerators have some sort of bolting provisions on the bottom of the fridge. The Dometic and ARB’s have bungs on the bottom. We align the fridge exactly where we need it and measure out the hole locations. Then, drill holes in the top of the Flat Slide – 6×4 for your particular mounting needs. Unfortunately, we cannot include these mounting holes due to so many variations in refrigerators and locations. If we did, the top would look like swiss cheese.

What is this “6×4” thing?

What is the “6×4”, you say? Well, that’s the grid layout used by this particular slide. Our MASS system is built based on a grid pattern. So, in this case, 6×4 refers to 6 cutouts wide and 4 cutouts deep. For example, this would be the full length sliders for the Jeep JL platform and Jeep JK platform.Click the image to the right to zoom.
