Low-Profile Bed Rack RAILs for the 2nd Gen Tacoma
The Tacoma Bed Rack RAIL System gives 2005–2015 Toyota Tacoma owners a lightweight, modular mounting platform without drilling the bed. Each RAIL bolts into the factory Deck Rail System, sits roughly 4 inches above the bed sides, and can slide along the OEM track so you can place it where your gear needs it.
Run one, two, or three RAILs, then add trays, recovery-board mounts, lighting, or other accessories as your setup changes.
The RAILs clamp into the OEM bed tracks. Slide them into position, tighten the hardware, and keep the factory bed intact.
Each RAIL is built from 3 mm thick 5052 aluminum, weighs less than 8 pounds, and stands approximately 4 inches above the bed side.
2nd Gen Tacoma Vehicle Fitment Chart
This system fits every factory cab and bed-length combination offered across the U.S.-market 2005–2015 2nd Gen Tacoma range. Trim, engine, transmission, and 2WD/4WD configuration do not change RAIL fitment.
| Tacoma Model | Model Years | Factory Bed Length | RAIL Fitment | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular Cab | 2005–2014 | 6-foot bed | Yes | Factory Deck Rail System |
| Access Cab | 2005–2015 | 6-foot bed | Yes | Factory Deck Rail System |
| Double Cab Short Bed | 2005–2015 | 5-foot bed | Yes | Factory Deck Rail System |
| Double Cab Long Bed | 2005–2015 | 6-foot bed | Yes | Factory Deck Rail System |
Trim coverage: Base, SR5, PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, X-Runner, TRD Pro, and other factory packages fit when the truck has the OEM Deck Rail System. Bed length does not affect the RAIL itself.
Rooftop Tent Mounting
The low-profile RAIL layout can create a clean base for a rooftop tent setup while keeping the tent close to the bed sides. Because the RAILs slide in the factory tracks, you can position multiple crossbars to match the mounting footprint of your tent.
Before mounting a rooftop tent: confirm the tent manufacturer’s required crossbar spacing and hardware, use the number of RAILs appropriate for the setup, and follow the lowest-rated component in the complete system. Tent weight, occupants, mounting hardware, and on-road versus parked loads all matter.
The photos below show the 2nd Gen Tacoma RAIL System with a rooftop tent installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will These Bed Rack RAILs Fit a 5-Foot Tacoma Bed?
Yes. The RAILs span the width of the bed and mount to the side tracks, so the 5-foot Double Cab bed is compatible.
Will They Fit a 6-Foot Tacoma Bed?
Yes. The Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Double Cab 6-foot-bed configurations fit when equipped with the factory Deck Rail System.
Do These Fit Every 2nd Gen Tacoma Trim?
Yes. The system fits 2005–2015 2nd Gen Tacoma trims and drivetrains when the truck has the factory bed tracks. The cab style and bed length do not change the mounting method.
Can I Mount a Rooftop Tent?
The RAILs can be configured as a low-profile base for a rooftop tent, as shown in the installed photos above. Verify tent spacing, mounting hardware, and complete-system load requirements before installation.
Does Installation Require Drilling?
No. The RAILs bolt into the OEM Deck Rail System and can slide along the tracks before the hardware is tightened.
Designed and Built in the USA
We design, form, machine, and assemble the RAIL System in the United States. The result is a Tacoma-specific platform that stays simple at the bed, keeps accessory hardware accessible from above, and can change with the truck.
