The RotopaX 2 Gallon Gasoline container is a low-profile fuel container built for overland rigs, off-road vehicles, and support setups that need a secure way to carry extra gasoline outside the cab.
This is the classic 2-gallon RotopaX format: flat, roto-molded, gasket-sealed, and designed to pair with RotopaX-style mounts. It is a better fit for vehicle storage than a round can rolling around the cargo area.
The container is sold here as the gasoline pack only. The spout is included; the vehicle mount is sold separately, so make sure your rack, carrier, or cargo system has the mounting hardware you need.
Why this RotopaX size works
The 3-inch depth makes it easier to mount on racks, carriers, trailers, and overland storage systems than many traditional containers.
RotopaX lists this gasoline container as EPA and CARB compliant, which is one reason the brand shows up so often in overland fuel-storage searches.
The container needs the correct RotopaX-compatible mount for vehicle storage. Do not assume the mount is included with the pack.

Frequently asked questions
Does the RotopaX 2 Gallon Gasoline container include a mount?
No. The spout is included, but the mounting kit is sold separately. Choose the mount that matches your rack, carrier, or vehicle setup.
What makes this different from a regular gas can?
The RotopaX design is flat and mountable, so it works well on exterior overland storage systems. The 2-gallon capacity gives useful emergency range without taking as much space as larger fuel packs.
Do I need to vent it?
Follow RotopaX handling instructions. The existing product guidance notes that fuel packs should be vented at least daily and when temperature or elevation changes significantly.
Safety note: Gasoline storage and transport rules vary by vehicle, trail, ferry, event, and jurisdiction. Follow RotopaX instructions and local regulations.
