The Lightweight 10LB Propane Tank Mount secures a 9-inch-diameter 10 lb propane cylinder to an overland rig, trailer, or camp build without turning fuel storage into dead weight. This updated version keeps the 5052 aluminum body, stainless padlock-capable draw latch, reversible access, and security flanges from the original mount, then adds support for the FlameKing YSN10LB-ALM aluminum 10 lb tank.

What Changed
The major update is the hinge. We replaced the previous cast hinge with a fabricated swingarm pivot, which makes assembly cleaner, removes unnecessary weight, and helps reduce manufacturing cost without giving up the latch, material, or tank security that made the original mount work.

Tank Fitment
This mount is designed around tank diameter, not just the number printed on the propane cylinder. It is made for 10 lb propane tanks with an outside diameter of about 9 inches (230 mm).- Fits the FlameKing YSN10LB-ALM 10 lb aluminum propane tank.
- Fits 9-inch-diameter FlameKing 10 lb propane tanks used for the original mount fitment.
- Does not automatically fit every 10 lb propane tank from every brand.
Verify the tank before ordering. Some retailers and third-party listings use similar product names for tanks with different shapes. If you are using anything other than the listed FlameKing fitments, confirm the tank diameter, collar, foot ring, and overall profile before ordering the mount. Propane tank sold separately.
How It Works On The Rig
The mount clamps around the propane tank with shaped aluminum plates and protective edge trim at the contact points. The stainless draw latch gives fast access when you need to remove the bottle for filling or camp setup, while the security flanges make it harder to spread the clamp open around the tank.
That combination matters on an overland build. A 10 lb tank gives you more cooking and camp-fuel capacity than small disposable bottles, but it still needs to be held cleanly, opened easily, and kept from becoming loose cargo. This mount keeps the tank accessible without giving up the weight savings that make the FlameKing aluminum cylinder attractive in the first place.

Assembly Note
Your mount ships with protective edge trim for the tank contact surfaces. Install the long trim pieces starting right at the edge of the clamp, then work around the clamp so the trim lands where it needs to for proper tank tension.
