We have been running the ICOM 5100 in our shop vehicles and customer builds for a while. This bracket is specifically designed for the ICOM 5100, but may work with other ICOM models.
It is intended to mount on our JL Overhead MOLLE Shelf, but can definitely be used to secure the radio in many other places.
Built from 5052 Aluminum.
Weighs .5lbs.
Mounting Hardware:
- (x4) M6x14 Button Head Bolts
- (x4) M6 Nyloc Nuts
Dimensions:
- 9″ Length,
- 6″ Width
- 1.5″ peak Hight.
NOTE: You will use the ICOM provided hardware to mount the Head Unit to the Bracket. (If you don’t have that hardware you can use M4 bolts to mount your Head Unit)

Chuck –
I used this to mount my ICOM 5100 in my overhead on a Molle Panel and the radio fits perfectly in the minimalized, well- designed bracket. Powdercoat is perfect. I modified the radio bracket holes to mounted it lower in the bracket and flush with my Molle panel and drilled 4 new holes to mount the radio to my Molle panel (already had it).
**Note: My Molle panel does not meet PALS specifications. If your panel uses PALS specifications or you get your Molle from AAL, this mount will be perfect. I love AAL’s Molle panel design but the wife was not keen on the Molle over the passenger’s head as she prefers it clear with the top off. I knew I had to modify the holes going in and AAL is the only mount I have seen that would remotely work for what I wanted to do. Now my 5100 base unit fits under the freedom tops mounted on the Molle and no more rattles or worries about it getting loose or sliding around off road.
Top Notch by AAL!!!
