Just when you were content with your stove/cooking setup, this little guy comes around. I have been on a mission for the past several months to be as minimal as possible with my cooking and camping “apparatuses”. I tried a few of the more compact butane stoves and they worked very well, even at elevations where propane fails. Then, I came across these guys. Honestly, I thought it was going to turn out to be garbage or even a scam, but after several of them came in and I tossed them to our employees for field testing, it was unanimous, these things are super cool!
Basically, it’s everything you need to cook food, and nothing you don’t need. There is absolutely ZERO wasted space in this little guy.
I cooked about 25-30 meals on this stove before I decided it was effective for us to sell. I couldn’t be happier with how it performs and how little space it occupies in our drawers. We generally take two of these with us every time we go out. That way, we can run two burners when necessary.
The butane cans are readily available at almost all outdoor stores including Wal-Mart. Coleman brand works well in these stoves. There is also much less waste with the butane cans than with the green propane bottles, which equates to less weight in your gear.
NOTE: There is no warranty with these stoves. We test them before they go out, but they’re $20 and made in China. So….Â
