1 – Locate Brackets

It is important to get the correct bracket on the correct side. If you don’t, the magnets cannot make a connection to the tablet. The small “ledges” on each bracket should go toward the bottom of the bracket. The brackets should “open up” to the outside of the vehicle (see photo).

2 – Attach Brackets

Even in the hot (~120°) summer sun of the Mojave Desert where we live, the adhesive has worked great keeping the brackets and tablet secure, but we included mounting screws just in case. Those screws would go through the small holes on the mounting flange. If you want to use the screws, you can chose to use the adhesive or not.

The brackets are built to a specific height to make alignment easier. The top of the inside flange of each bracket aligns with the top edge of the opening in the bezel for the radio (see photo).

3 – Attach Plates to Tablet

After the brackets are installed, sit your device on the ledges of the brackets and gently rotate it rearward and lean it against the brackets/magnets. Pay close attention as to where the magnets land on the back of the device. This is where you will want to install the steel adhesive plates. Now, remove the device from the brackets and install the adhesive steel plates onto the back of the device (see photo).

4 – Add/Remove Tablet

To attach the tablet, simply sit it on the ledges, line it up left-to-right. Then, lean it back onto the magnets. Viola!

To remove the tablet, slide the tablet upward, away from the ledges. The magnets are super strong and sliding it up versus pulling it straight out lessens the forces applied to the tablet (see photo).
