Starink Mini opens up some very interesting opportunities to stay connected and safe while out on the trail. With its ability to maintain high speeds through some materials (ex. Jeep Freedom Tops), you can do things like keep your offroad trail maps updated, stream video (while parked, of course), make video calls, make voice calls (with Wi-Fi calling enabled), and find alternate routes when needed.
In our testing we have gotten well over 170MBs with the dish mounted in this position with the Freedom Panels still installed.
This mounting system for the Starlink Mini is built specifically for our Overhead MOLLE products for Jeep Wrangler JL/Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler JK.
This mount is built from lightweight 5052 aluminum. It has one felt-lined flange on each bracket to maintain tension and keep things tight. You will receive both sides of the bracket system and four 20mm long button head flange bolts. It can be installed by threading the bolts in from the bottom side of the Overhead MOLLE Shelf and into the rivet nuts installed onto the mounting brackets. It’s about a 5 minute install.
Power for the Starlink Mini can be supplied by 12V up to 48V. There are a lot of solutions on the market for that, including battery packs, which makes the dish super portable. Here is some more information on the Starlink brand USB-C power cable – https://www.starlink.com/support/article/7c9fb509-e3c4-c6af-b2f5-ef95e645c046.
Super Easy Installation
It takes about 5 minutes to attach the dish to the Overhead MOLLE Shelf using the included (4) M6 Button Head Flange Bolts. You will need a M4 allen socket or wrench for the install.
