The mount includes a zinc-plated ratchet with a Cordura® sleeve over the webbing to shield both the strap and the jug. Install & Use Tips for Your Tuff Jug Mount
The Cordura® sleeve can be trimmed to length so the protective section covers any potential contact points.
Seat the jug in the 10" × 10" pocket, snug the strap, then ratchet to a firm preload that prevents movement by hand.
Use the built-in anchor points to keep the strap angled downward across the jug’s shoulders—this prevents vertical bounce and lateral walk.
Webbing can settle; click the ratchet 1–2 more notches after the first mile of dirt for set-and-forget tension.
