From the factory, Jeep doesn’t provide easy access to the wiring circuits used for the daytime running lights and the turn signals. The OEM connectors are tightly secured under the fender wells, which they should be. However, there are several reasons you may want access to these circuits without having splice into your nice clean OEM harness or nice clean AAL harness. Here are some reasons:
- Provide power to halo style headlights
- Provide power to the High-Lines for “Show Mode”
- Provide access to the turn signal circuit for an additional D.O.T. turn signal
We have had a lot of requests to provide a way to power the High-Line lights while at a show or event when the JL is not running or headlight switch is not on. This is the cleanest way to do that.
In this harness, we provide unterminated wires for the following lighting circuits as powered from the Rubicon and Sahara/Moab/Overland connector.
- Black – Ground
- Yellow – Turns
- Red – Daytime Running Light
NOTE: These are sold in a pair – you will get a harness for both sides of your JL.
NOTE: The pinout on these connectors is specific to the non-Sport models. The Sport has a slightly different pinout. With this harness, you can easily connect an ACC circuit (or wired through an AUX switch or similar) to power the DRL’s on a Sport model.
